An unforgettable experience for your senses. Immerse yourself in our blue fields: 30,000 lavender plants, on 7 hectares (17 acres). Let yourself be carried away by the atmosphere of our little corner of happiness a few minutes from the city of Aix-en-Provence.

Lavender, 100% organic

Our family chose to cultivate “lavandin grosso”, one of the many species of lavender, this one resulting from natural hybridization by bees, between “true lavender” and “spike lavender” which generally grows on plateaus between 200 meters and 1,000 meters of altitude.

Our culture is 100% organic and respectful of the environment. We don’t use any treatment on our lavender field or water.

Between February and April, on average, we partner with a farm to welcome thirty sheep on the domain for a process called natural weeding. The sheep eat herbs and weeds that can be found around the lavender plants. No panic, the sheep don’t eat the lavender, its camphorated taste displeases them.

When is the best time to come?

  • The flower blooms between late June and late July, so it is the best time to come and enjoy the vibrant color palette of the lavender. By the end of August, the flowers are slightly muted as they’ve been exposed to plenty of sunlight during summer.

  • We harvest at the end of August. Then some flowers are distilled to make essential oil, while others are kept full and dried to be sold in bulk that is sold in our boutique.

Opening hours

The domain and the lavender fields are open to visitors between June 1st and August 31st 2024, every day from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm (On Saturdays we close at 5:30 pm). For your picnic, food is available to purchase on the estate.

Come and take a stroll on the estate! When you come to Terre Ugo, you are our family guests. We’ll be happy to walk you through the domain and tell you about our story and the processes of cultivating lavender and making artisanal lavender products. Our team’s main concern is your enjoyment and ensuring your visit is a parenthesis of relaxation, in the heart of the lavender fields. Lounge chairs and shaded areas are available for your enjoyment, and you’re welcome to bring a picnic or take a nap.
